Vervain Privacy Policy

The Vervain mobile application is provided by AgTechNest Inc.. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use Vervain.

2.1 Information you provide or authorize

• Email address and authentication identifiers, when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• First name, profile preferences, learning level, motivation, and daily goal, when provided during onboarding.
• Optional profile image, if you choose one from your device.

2.2 Information generated by app use

• Lesson progress, quiz attempts, answers, scores, streaks, and daily activity.
• Plants unlocked in your in-app encyclopedia and related collection state.
• In-app purchase and subscription entitlement status.

2.3 Technical information

• Device and platform information used for diagnostics, security, and compatibility.
• Push notification tokens, only if you grant notification permission.
• Analytics events used to understand app reliability and improve the product.

• To create and maintain your account.
• To provide lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, unlocks, rewards, and reminders.
• To process and validate in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• To prevent abuse, diagnose bugs, maintain security, and improve Vervain.
• To respond to support, privacy, or account deletion requests.

Vervain relies on the following service providers. Each provider processes data according to its own privacy policy.

• Apple App Store and Google Play Billing - payment processing for in-app purchases and subscriptions.

Vervain offers optional in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

RevenueCat helps us validate purchases and determine whether your account has an active premium entitlement. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account or Google Play account settings.

• Performance of a contract: to provide the app, account, learning progress, and purchases.
• Consent: for push notifications and any optional permissions you grant.
• Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service improvement.
• Legal obligations: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

• Account and progress data is retained while your account remains active.
• If you delete your account, personal account data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, unless we must retain limited records for legal, fraud prevention, or accounting reasons.
• Analytics data is kept only as long as needed for product improvement and diagnostics.

You can request account deletion from the Vervain app under Settings - Delete my account, or by contacting us at vervain.leaf@gmail.com.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact vervain.leaf@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We aim to respond within 30 days.

• Communications with our servers use HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication sessions are stored through platform-secure mechanisms where available.
• Database access is restricted so users can access only their own account data.
• No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information.

Vervain is operated by AgTechNest Inc. in Canada and uses service providers that may process data in Canada, the United States, the European Union, or other regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections and provider compliance programs.

Vervain is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest update date appears at the top of this page. For material changes, we may notify you in the app or by email when appropriate.
